The North Medical Ward at Mayo Hospital is a comprehensive unit that includes male and female wards, a High Dependency Unit (HDU), and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), providing a total of 60 beds. FOMH renovated the 40,000 square feet ward which spans across four floors into a state-of-the-art facility.

The North Medical Ward at Mayo Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility rebuilt from the ground up by Friends of Mayo Hospital. Spanning 40,000 square feet, the ward replaced a deteriorating structure, now offering a modern and fully equipped environment to serve patients. It includes male and female wards, a High Dependency Unit (HDU), and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), providing a total of 60 beds.

The ward is staffed by a dedicated team of 1 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professors, 4 Senior Registrars, 43 Postgraduate Trainees and Medical Officers, and 39 House Officers. This team manages medical emergencies for 36 hours weekly, including every fourth Sunday, and provides outpatient services twice a week. The HDU operates around the clock, ensuring continuous, high-quality care for critically ill patients.
