2014 The Beginning

  • Two friends, Ms. Ambreen Irfan and Ms. Fatima Fazal, were working at Mayo Hospital when they were struck by the hospital’s deteriorating condition.
  • Faced with the hospital’s dire state, they decided to act rather than walk away, determined to make even a small difference.
  • They reached out to friends and family, and Ms. Ambreen sponsored the renovation of two operation theatres while Ms. Zahida Ahsanuddin funded the recovery room.
  • With donations collected during Ramadan, they managed to renovate the entire cardiac ward.

2014 The Inauguration and Expansion

  • At the inauguration ceremony of the cardiac ward, Mrs. Haleema Monnoo was moved by the transformation and announced her intention to fund the next ward renovation.
  • This sparked the beginning of a larger movement, with more donors from different backgrounds joining the cause.

2016 Cardiac Surgery Ward

  • Completion of Cardiac Surgery Ward and Operation Theatre.

2017 West Surgical Ward

  • Completion of West Surgical Ward and Entrance Hall.

2018 Completion of three new wards

  • Planted 500 trees across Mayo Hospital to enhance the environment.
  • Completion of South Medical Ward, North Surgical Ward, and North Surgical Veranda.

2019 Musafir Khana

  • Completion of Musafir Khana and Musafir Khana Courtyard.

2020 Completion of North Medical Ward

  • COVID-19 Response: Provided PPE to the hospital.
  • Completion of North Medical Ward

2021 Competition of Neuro Surgery Ward

  • Burn Awareness and Prevention Symposium held at Pearl-Continental Hotel, Lahore, featuring Dr. Yasmin Rashid.
  • Competition of Neuro Surgery Ward

2022 Completion of three Units

  • Completion of West Medical Ward, Cancer Ward, Pediatric Surgery Burn Unit (first in Punjab), Pediatric Surgery ICU, and Nursery.

2023 Pediatric Surgery

  • Completion of Pediatric Surgery (5 Operation Theatres) and Orthopedic Ward Lift.

2024 Pediatric Surgery Emergency

  • Completion of Pediatric Surgery Emergency and Courtyard.
  • First Maintenance Project:
    Took on the maintenance of the Pediatric Complex, which was renovated.
  • Lahore Fort Fundraiser:
    Hosted by Pakistan Blooms at Jehangir Quadrangle to benefit the upcoming Maxillofacial Ward project.
