FOMH Summer Internship Programme 2026

Internship Program

Every year, Friends of Mayo Hospital organizes a summer internship program in collaboration with King Edward Medical University.

The *Friends of Mayo Hospital (FOMH) Summer Internship Programme 2026* successfully concluded after six enriching days of interactive learning, practical exposure, and professional development. Designed to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals, the programme provided students with a unique opportunity to experience medicine beyond the classroom.

Throughout the internship, participants attended expert-led sessions on *Burn Management, CPR & Basic Life Support (BLS), Mental Health Awareness, Medical Ethics, Research Fundamentals, Stroke Recognition, Bedside Manners, and Effective Patient Communication. These sessions were complemented by **hospital ward rounds and clinical observations*, allowing interns to witness real-world healthcare practices and understand the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.

The programme concluded with a *Certificate Distribution Ceremony*, where participants were recognized for their enthusiasm, commitment, and active participation. The ceremony celebrated not only the successful completion of the internship but also the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration gained throughout the programme.

FOMH remains committed to creating meaningful educational opportunities that bridge the gap between academic learning and clinical practice, empowering future healthcare professionals to serve with excellence, empathy, and integrity.
